This is the best electric bike you can possibly buy. Not just on this website...ANYWHERE! This bike has everything you could want - 48 volt battery, 500 watt motor, torque sensor pedal assist, hydraulic disk brakes, Shimano 21 speed gear shifting, and so much more.

Truly the best bang-for-your-buck electric bicycle on the market. With the Volta Premium 500, you will not be sacrificing on power, range, performance, or anything else. The only thing it lacks is an inflated price point.

  • MOTOR 500 - Watt hub-drive brushless motor
  • RANGE - Powerful 48 volt, 10 Ah battery will provide 40 mile range per charge
  • TRANSMISSION - Shimano Altus M310 21-speed transmission
  • PEDAL ASSIST - Torque sensor that matches your power and effort
  • BRAKES - Hydraulic disk brakes

CHARGING TIME - You can charge your battery using a standard wall outlet. It will charge fully in about 4 hours.

BATTERY CELL - Cyclo batteries are made up of Lithium-ion cells. The battery cells can be provided by name brands such as Samsung and Panasonic, or can be found through cheaper, unknown suppliers.

CHARGING BY PEDALING - The battery is charged by plugging it into the wall, and the more you pedal the farther you can go. Your pedaling conserves the battery, but it doesn’t actually charge it.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What distance can I ride the bike on a full battery charge?
The average range is around 30 miles but varies on several conditions such as the weight of the rider, any payload, the pressure of the tires, wind speed and direction, road grade, outside temperature and riding style. If the rider uses only the throttle throughout the ride, the range will drop considerably. If throttle is rarely used and all conditions are optimal, range can extend up to 40 miles.

How long does the battery take to fully charge?
Between 4 and 5 hours.

How long does a battery last before replacement?
Like any rechargeable battery, the lifespan is based on charging cycles, the more often you charge it the shorter the lifespan. The amount of charging cycles is around 500.

What is the cost of a battery replacement?
A replacement battery can be purchased for $356 if it is no longer under warranty. Warranty replacements are provided at no cost.

What is my maximum speed?
20 MPH +/- Regulations mandate that in order to be public road legal in most states, the bicycle should not go over 20 mph if using the motor alone.

Is the bike approved for bike lanes in California?
Yes, California allows e-bikes to ride in bike lanes as long as they are class 1 or 2. These 2 classes are usually allowed wherever traditional bikes are. Class 3, which have certain higher wattage and speed, might not be allowed in many places.

During the first year of operation, what service/maintenance is required to keep the bike in good working condition?
Basic checkup and tune up such as: Chain lube, tensioning, brake adjustment, tire pressure adjustment, axle and pedal retorque. Nothing beyond what a routine maintenance is on a traditional bike.
