Years of research, engineering and wind-tunnel development went into the DA1, and the results are obvious. The DA is the weapon of choice for time trialists like Kristin Armstrong and Patrick Gretsch as well as triathletes like Terenzo Bozzone and Andi Bocherer. With UHC Ultimate+Nano carbon fiber material—shaped through extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics engineering and real-world testing—it’s 14% more aerodynamic and 13% stiffer than the previous-generation DA. It’s also optimized for Shimano Di2 11 Speed electronic shifting, with internal cable routing and an integrated battery mount. When every second counts, go with the DA1.
Bayonet - The Bayonet is Felt’s patented aerodynamic fork design for time trial, triathlon, and track bikes. By moving the fork’s steerer tube outside the frame we were able to increase front-end stiffness and steering precision, while dramatically decreasing wind drag. It’s the fastest, most aerodynamic fork and steering system in the world.
Wind Tunnel - This product directly benefited from advanced computer design work using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software from CD-Adapco as well as extensive wind tunnel testing to make them as aerodynamically efficient and technologically advanced as possible.
Internal Cable Rounting - This indicates the use of flow-through internal cable routing. It reduces wind drag and prevents contaminants from entering and interfering with the function of brake or shifter cables.
InsideOut - InsideOut is a revolutionary internally optimized molding process that completely eliminates excess material, and therefore weight, inside the frame tubes and junctions. Placing polyurethane inserts inside the frame during the molding process—especially at the bottom bracket and head tube area—and then applying a precise amount of pressure and heat results in perfectly formed tubes, inside and out.
MNC - Modular Monocoque Construction is an advanced carbon fiber manufacturing technique that allows Felt to mold individual sections of the frameset and then join them together. The main advantage of MMC is that it allows each section to be optimized to meet the specific engineering demands of that particular section of the frame.
UHC Advanced - Ultra Hybrid Carbon Advanced refers to the lightweight, stiff and durable blend of carbon fiber material used in the performance frames bearing the UHC Advanced label. Because the high modulus materials have a higher fiber to resin ratio, these frames are typically about 20% lighter than UHC Performance frames while remaining equally strong and stiff. UHC Advanced offers the best combination of value and performance.
