The 900 Series is built for racing against the clock. Zipp claims that the “bulge” rim shape prolongs the laminar air flow across the spinning wheel – requiring the rider to use less energy to attain and maintain max speed. Claims and technology aside, this wheel is incredible fast and delivers an unbelievably smooth ride for a disc. Finally, at 1240g the 900 Series clincher won’t hold you back up those nasty hills or as you accelerate through corners on your way to victory!
The convenient clincher version might weight more than the tubular model; however, it makes repairing a puncture quick and easy during those long events.
