The Zipp 300 Crankset utilizes the absolute latest technology in high density material and carbon/aluminum bonding that increases overall assembly stiffness while significantly decreasing the weight. Because of inertia, the most important areas to eliminate weight from your bike are moving parts. Aside from the wheels, the most dynamic feature (accelerating and spinning) is your crankset and bottom bracket. Although not as light as the new Zipp VumaQuad, at 642g (Crank Set 460g + BB 182g) this assembly will save you approximately 100 grams (.22pounds) over competitors� high end product. Ultimately, you will accelerate faster and climb faster.
Furthermore, the external 185 Bottom Bracket uses a high grade titanium spindle with allow bolts that rides on ultra-precision German-made 14mm bearings for remarkable weight savings, stiffness, durability, and minimal rolling resistance. As a complete package, this is the perfect addition to anyone's "dream bike".
