2008 Mavic Aksium Wheelset

Product Overview
The Aksium is a lightweight and affordable clincher wheelset designed to both endure endless training miles and provide the responsiveness needed excel in competition. All cyclists will enjoy the extremely smooth braking surface and smooth QRM bearings.

Employment
- Training: With aluminum rims and stainless steel spokes, the Aksium can take some severe pot-hole punishment and will remain 100% true for hundreds of miles. Despite the built-in durability, this 1855gram wheelset is still light enough to rocket away from your training partners.
- Road Racing: With a low weight (for a clincher) and great responsiveness this wheelset is fully capable of holding its own in some tough competition.

New for '08
-Lower Weight: 140 grams lighter than previous model. Lighter wheels save you energy in the most critical part of cycling (accelerating and climbing).
