| 2008 Kuota K-Factor Triathlon / Time Trial Bike
Product Overview The K-Factor is a carbon triathlon / time trial bike for athletes ready to make a podium appearance. Enjoy similar power transfer, aerodynamics, and ride comfort showcased by the Kalibur for a much lower price. The K-Factor also employs efficient, but slightly more relaxed geometry than the Kalibur. In the eyes of Kuota, power transfer is critical and the K-Factor definitely delivers on this goal as it accelerates, climbs, and rips across the race course. Features include: - Aerodynamic Monocoque 12k Carbon Frame and Fork: Kuota's carbon technology provides incredible rigidity in the drive train area while still delivering a comfortable ride. - Rear Wheel Cutout: Creates a smooth air transition from the frame to the spinning wheel, thus reducing drag. - Internal Cable Routing: Designed to smooth airflow across the down and head tube. - Component Package: The K-Factor wheels and components are designed for training and racing. For a "pure racing" set-up, please call Nytro for upgrades.
K-Factor vs Kalibur - The Kaibur features more aggressive geometry (including a shorter head tube) for experienced athletes in need of extreme aerodynamics. - The Kalibur features Kevlar reinforced chainstays for increased stiffness in the drive train. - The Kaliber offers a higher grade component package and an airfoil seat post for improved aerodynamics, lower weight, and slightly better performance.
