| 2008 Felt B12 Carbon Triathlon / Time Trial Bike
Product Overview The B12 is an affordable carbon racer with the same wind cheating curves as Felt's top-end models. Although constructed with lower quality carbon than the DA or B2, the B12 is still a durable and stiff frame perfect for athletes looking for an affordable carbon bike. Specific features include: - Modular Monocoque High Modulus (HM) Carbon Frame and Fork: A T700-based carbon blend, with reportedly 7.9 times greater tensile strength than 3/2.5 Titanium, and stiffness 3.34 time greater than 6061 Aluminum. - Internal Cable Routing: Designed to smooth air flow across the frame. - Chainstay Mounted Rear Brake: Designed to hide the rear break from wind flow across the top of the rear wheel. - Front and Rear Wheel Cut-outs: Designed to reduce the turbulence created by spinning wheels. - Component Package: The B12 wheels and components are designed for reliability and performance in both training and racing. For a "pure racing" set-up, please call Nytro for upgrades.
B12 vs B2 - B2 is constructed of higher grade carbon fiber, resulting in a lower frame weight and greater stiffness. - The B2 components are higher quality parts offering improved aerodynamics and weight savings.
Characteristics - Weight: 18.75 lbs (as shown with Felt B12 Component Package) - Color: Gloss Clear over Carbon with Black Fade - Sizes(cm): 650c x 48, 50; 700c x 52 / 54 / 56 / 58 / 60
Test Review + All the aerodynamic frame features of a world class bike at a fraction of the cost. + Great vibration dampening and road feel. + Comfortable geometry for an athlete of any level.
